The Empire Suite of the Gingerbread Inn is advertised as Northern California's most opulent room. This room occupies most of the third floor of the inn, and the soaring ceiling makes it an interesting photography project. This view shows the double stained glass entry doors, one of the two fireplaces, the sitting area and the wet bar.

Photographing interiors like this takes special lighting skills and equipment. We use a special wide-angle rectilinear lense for situations like this. This lense shows almost a 180° view, yet it doesn't distort like a fisheye does.
