Clothes from the Victorian period are for more luxurious than what we're used to wearing these days. Their attention to detail and the amount of time they spent constructing their clothes is amazing, which is one reason we love using our vintage clothing collection for boudoir portraits. For example, this Victorian capelet is covered with about 5 pounds of beads. During the Victorian period, it was meant to be the final icing on the cake, worn over all of the other fancy layers. But worn by itself, it is quite sexy, while still being relatively modest, especially when one has a Victorian feather fan to complement it.
