Eastern Sierras

Hwy. 395 runs along the eastern side of the Sierras, and provides access to Yosemite, Mono Lake, Bodie, and a number of other scenic areas. My first trip to this area was for a photo seminar with the late Galen Rowell, and I quickly understood why he was so fascinated with this area.

Twin Creek Pond

This is my favorite pond, which I've traveled out to many times for both landscape and glamour photography. It's very remote, located a short distance off of a Forest Service road. The unique thing about this pond is that it serves as the junction of two creeks. The foilage around the pond and the creeks provides a beautiful study in texture, and during the fall the color becomes very vibrant. Twin Creek Pond is my own name for this little pond, as I haven't been able to find it named on any map.
