Having your portrait taken should be more than just, "stand there, smile, click". Photographer Matt Knowles enjoys creating a portrait session that shows your personality. During your consultation session he will work with you to find the perfect location, suggest clothing and props, and if the session will be on location, he will scout it out ahead of time to pick the best time of day for lighting. Working in Humboldt County, Matt understands that taking portraits outdoors can be a fickle proposition. Through his landscape photography he has learned to go with the flow, keeping an eye out for plan B. If worse comes to worse and it's pouring rain on the scheduled time, he is happy to reschedule to a brighter, drier day.
One of the most unique portraits you can have taken is a vintage portrait. Unlike the vintage portrait booths you see at the fair, our studio has a real vintage clothing collection to draw from, and our portrait sessions last an hour or more, not just a few minutes.
A great gift for yourself or your loved one is a boudoir portrait. This is a sensual and romantic portrait, meant for your lover. Choose from our vintage or modern lingerie, or wear something of your own. Maybe that lingerie he bought you? Packages with hair and makeup assistance are available.
