This portrait of Francis Francis, an early settler of Ferndale, was in pretty good shape. It just had a few mildew spots, typical of these type of prints, especially in humid climates like Ferndale’s.

Due to it’s size, the original was photographed rather than scanned, and then a minor amount of touch up was done. Fortunately, all of the spots were in the background areas of the image and didn’t obscure any detail that had to be corrected.

Because of that, this image fell into our Minor Fix category.
