Picture of the Month – May 2004
One of my weekend morning rituals is to de-snail and de-slug the garden. One of the favorite hiding places for the huge slugs we have is inside the canna leaves, where they can chew and chew without being detected. Since that activity really shreds the folded leaves, I try to make sure I remove all of them from their hiding spots. Every once in awhile though, instead of finding a disgusting slug, I am rewarded with finding a cute frog staring up at me, such as this one.
